EAAE Congress in Bonn

We had an interesting and fruitful session at the XVIII EAAE Congress in Bonn last week, where we discussed farm-level GHG accounting approaches, their potential for policymaking, and carbon pricing. One main takeaway we bring with us from this session and the subsequent discussion is that there is a high variety in approaches and paths taken to account for farm-level GHG emissions in different countries, but at the same time, a large potential and need to learn from each other in terms of how to construct sound and robust farm-level GHG accounting approaches.

Thank you to our panel Victoria Koch, Darran Austin, Jakob Vesterlund Olsen, Alexander Gocht, and Stephane De Cara. And thank you to all who participated in the lively discussion.

In the AgriDENZ project, we are working on providing a better understanding of farm-level GHG accounting approaches across countries through our cooperation between New Zealand and Germany. Next up on the topic of farm-level GHG accounting, we are hosting a webinar in December this year – follow us here on LinkedIn to get more information on this and other upcoming events!
