AgriDENZ Newsletter #3 is now available!

We are pleased to announce the publication of the third issue of the AgriDENZ project newsletter, highlighting our collective efforts in the latter half of 2025 to advance agricultural greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation through science, policy, and collaboration.

You can download the newsletter here.

In this edition, you will find:

  • Highlights from the Regional Science-Policy Dialogue on Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Research Priorities in South Africa, where over 60 experts from a wide range of stakeholder groups identified key priorities for climate-resilient agriculture.
  • An AgriDENZ side event at the 9th International Greenhouse Gas and Animal Agriculture (GGAA2025) Conference in Nairobi, Kenya. Participants explored synergies and identified potential avenues for future collaboration on regional approaches for mitigating GHG emissions in ruminant pasture production systems within the framework of the AgriDENZ project.
  • Progress on Food Loss and Waste, including a Workshop in South Africa, which brought together 150 participants across 17 countries to tackle FLW and contribute to SDG 12.3, and participation in the OECD Food Chain Analysis Network meeting in Paris.
  • The AgriDENZ Webinar Series getting underway, with presentations and discussions on mitigating GHG emissions in dairy production systems, and on a range of aspects relating to soil and climate.
  • Updates on science exchanges and policy dialogues that continue to strengthen collaboration on farm-level GHG accounting tools and sustainable agricultural practices.

We once again sincerely thank our partners and stakeholders for their continued support, and we look forward to further advancing climate-friendly agriculture together in 2026.

We also wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year.
