AgriDENZ farm-level GHG accounting: Webinar 7 May

We are pleased to invite you to the third webinar in the AgriDENZ webinar series on farm-level GHG accounting. On May 7, Andrea Furlan, Eszter Kis Csatari and Raphaël D’Andrimont (DG Agri) will present their ongoing work on developing a common accounting methodology for GHG and ammonia emissions using the new FSDN database which will be provided by EU member states starting from 2025.

Andrea, Eszter and Raphael work in the FSDN team in unit A.2 in DG Agriculture.

Andrea is an agronomist specialised in analysis of sustainable agriculture to support the Common Agricultural Policy implementation, holding a PhD in agricultural economics from the University of Bologna. He worked 12 years on Rural Development in Emilia Romagna Region in Italy and 13 years in DG Agriculture on direct payments, indicators and analysis.

Eszter is an agricultural economist with over 20 years of experience analysing FADN data at the national level in Hungary, providing deep analytical insights into farm economics. Her background also includes 2 years as a national GHG inventory compiler and 3 years as an analyst in DG AGRI, further enhancing her ability to connect farm-level data with sustainability and climate policy.

Raphaël is an analyst with a background in satellite remote sensing and agronomy, holding a PhD in Agronomy and Bioengineering from UCLouvain. He spent over 7 years at the JRC leading projects on CAP indicators, biodiversity monitoring, and pesticide risk assessment before joining the FSDN team in DG AGRI unit A.2, where he works on farm-level environmental and climate analysis using FADN/FSDN data.
